Philosophy of Education

Our Philosophy of Education

United Christian Academy is a non-denominational school that is committed to providing students with a strong academic foundation that is built on Christian principles. United Christian Academy teaches the basic message of spiritual growth through the person of Jesus Christ. At UCA, we believe that all students can learn to their fullest potential during their academic journey, and we are dedicated to empowering all students with the tools to succeed. United Christian Academy is intentional in recognizing the individual learning style of each child, meeting their needs, and creating an atmosphere that will encourage all students to succeed. As this is a spirit-filled ministry, we pledge our support to love and pray for all UCA families.

At United Christian Academy we believe:

    • God loves, cares and is concerned for all children. (Mark 9:36)
    • All children are fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalms 139:14)
    • All children need to feel safe, supported, and loved. (Hebrews 13:6)
    • All learning should be meaningful and fun as children learn through hands-on experiences. (John 14:26)
    • United Christian Academy should cooperate with and support each parent’s efforts to “Train up a child in the way he should go…” (Proverbs 22:6)

Mission

The mission of United Christian Academy is to foster a safe and encouraging environment with an atmosphere that enhances the holistic growth of students: intellectually, physically, artistically, and spiritually.

Vision

United Christian Academy’s vision is to develop every student’s potential so that they can become responsible citizens who set standards for excellence in society. Also, that students may develop a Christ-like character that will bear fruit and empower them for future success.

Goals

The goal of holistic child development is based on Luke 2:52, “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.”  United Christian Academy seeks to advance each student in the following areas of learning.

  • Wisdom: Academically encourage each student to show themselves approved through demonstrating an understanding of the Word of God, and various academic fields.  UCA desires for each student to understand their academics through a Christian worldview.
  • Stature: Develop each student through physical education classes, health, athletics, competitive dance, and team building activities.
  • Favor with God: Spiritually rear up disciples of Christ through the knowledge of God and the Bible, encouraging personal relationships with Jesus Christ and the corresponding lifestyle.
  • Favor with Man: Develop social acceptance and favor, with open expressional confidence, using servant leadership through serving the community with various community projects.

It is also the goal of UCA to provide a nurturing environment where a child feels loved, secure, cared for, and respected. We aim to promote and encourage a positive feeling of self-worth in each child by valuing the individuality of each child. UCA encourages family involvement, and serves as a support system to the family, thus developing a partnership that will support the positive development of the child. UCA also pursues respect of all gender, age, and culture diversities.
